Welcome to the new n.blog

Hi all!

I have the pleasure to launch the new noemalab blog with a report on the Subtletechnologies festival!

If you wish to have a look at past reports on Sublte Technologies Festival, please, visit the old blog

As you may remember,  this festival coincides with the beginning of summer (not really, but by canadian standards) here in Toronto. Subtle Technologies kicks off on thursday evening, May 24 at 7:30 with the exhibition of Toronto based sculpture and installation artist, and bioartist extraordinaire Elaine Whittaker at the Redhead Gallery. Her new work CC:me reuses thermal transfer carbon rolls as drawing material and montage, and as the base for a Bioart installation.

The symposium (Friday, May 25 to Sunday May 27) this year has a new location at Ryerson University and comes with a new format. the three days will have three different themes: Art, technology & science ideas, Biology and Art, and The Immortal Body. check the schedule of each section. as usual, I will provide a semi-real time critical commentary on what happens at the festival. In the meantime, have a good read! Full program here
